My Approach

I believe that our pasts shape who we are but don't determine who we become. Inherent in all of us is a desire to heal old wounds and learn from our experiences. Therapy is an opportunity to examine and change the way you feel about yourself, to engage more fully in your relationships and to decide what is possible in your life and career. Therapy allows us to make peace with the past so that we can live more fully in the present.

As a therapist, I view my work with clients as a collaborative endeavor.

Our work together will engage, challenge and at times, frustrate you. I am not the kind of therapist who just sits there and listens. I want to help you understand how your experiences – past and present - shape the way you see yourself and the world around you. With this increased awareness, you are able to shift patterns and relationships that no longer serve you. Over time you will begin to experience more intimacy in your relationships, greater satisfaction in your career and a deeper sense of emotional resilience.
